About lubrication effect in fix srd

Dear lammps users,

Now I’m trying to simulate colloidal particles with hydrodynamics using fix srd command. In my system, the colloids are very close to each other, so the lubrication effect should matter a lot. I don’t know whether this effect has been considered in fix srd command. Thank you for your time.

Since the form of lubrication forces has been known since Reynolds first considered it, why not form a hypothesis, set up a simple test and see.

But in short no, not directly. Its an emeegent behavoir, i.e. srd knows no more about lubrication forces than it does hagen-poisseulle or couette flow.
