Is AMD and RADEON a good options to lammps perfomance?
Yes and no. I haven’t been able to test a recent generation hardware, but on previous generations the gpu package would be quite competitive, especially when compiling in all double precision. However the and drivers seem to have significant deficits to exploit parallelism internally, and thus multi-gpu configurations and gpu oversubscription are not as efficient as with nvidia hardware and drivers.
