Can Lammps do this?

Dear all:
I wanna simulate"solute(mass) transport in laser pool in the process of Selective Laser Melting". Specifically speaking, it’s using laser as the heat source to melt alloy powder and research on how the solute transport and distribute. Can LAMMPS do this? And how do I simulate this?Which order should I use?
Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.

In a general sense yes. The fix heat command can be used to heat a region of
the surface in a spatial or time-dependent manner. The solid will melt and re-crystallize.
Whether that is at the time and length scale you need is something you have to
figure out.
