Can lammps do the simulation of repair of damaged subsurface by laser irradiation, which process is irradiating the surface of workpiece using pulse laser and cooling it after irradiation.
You can heat and cool geometric regions of your
simulation domain with LAMMPS. And model
annealing which heals defects via thermal effects.
