Can the fix bond/create form bonds between different sets of atom types?

Dear Dr. Axel Kohlymeyer and Dr. Steve Plimpton,

Once again, I deeply appreciate your responses to my inquiries on LAMMPS.

I would like to ask a question on fix bond/create command.

Can the fix bond/create command bond between different atoms of different types?

According to the manual, I understand that the fix bond/create can bond atom of Type I to atom of Type J.

fix ID group-ID bond/create Nevery **I_**type **J_**type Rmin bondtype keyword values …

Hence, Can the fix bond/create be used to bond both Type I to Type J and Type A to Type B?

I have a polymer simulation which consists of Type 2 and Type 3 atoms, and I would like to form crosslink bonds between the same Type 2 atoms and separately between the same Type 3 atoms but no bond formation between Type 2 and Type 3.

Once again, thank you so much for your responses during your busy schedule.

Sincerely,

Masato Koizumi

I suggest you look at fix bond/react. It is much more
general and flexible than fix bond/create.
