unfortunately a few files from the multi-threading merge are missing in the current LAMMPS distribution and in the svn and git repositories.
please wait until this is fixed. there will be an announcement e-mail to this mailing list and the repositories should be updated the following day. sorry about the issue, but the number of files that steve had to merge in was really large...
I’m still unable to build LAMMPS with the latest files downloaded 12/5, so I went to the web-page
http://lammps.sandia.gov/bug.html
to see what state it’s in. It gave me an error
request exceeds maximum bandwidth limit
try again in one minute
Does anyone know what the problem is here?

well, obviously you are using a provider,e.g. one of
the big cable companies, that is consuming too
much bandwidth off the sandia webpages so you
get blocked.
mind you, you can always download the git
repo or snapshots from the temple mirror!
