Can't reach the target temperature

Hi everybody,
I have some simulations in the Berendsen’s thermostat and barostat. I have an thermal treatment for the system, from 100K to 10000K. But, it’s cannot reach to the target temperature. So, it’s maybe due to the damping parameter?

I have a alpha-quartz system, about 500 atoms initially. I want to do the simulation to obtain amorphous silica. I used the BKS and Coulomb potentials for the system. I was first equilibrated at 300K and the pressure 1 bar. Then, the temperature will be increased to 10000K to obtain a molten state. The daming parameters I used were 100 fs for the thermostat and 10000 fs for the barostat.

and what does this tell us? still not a thing!

What is the timestep you used for the simulations?? What ensambles exactly?? Boundary conditions?? Specific boundary config. , if any?? How long did you run your simulation??
