While writing a dcd file using LAMMPS is it possible to view it using VMD before the entire simulation has been completed…??

i don't see a reason why this should not be possible outside of a
scenario where you would be running both LAMMPS and VMD on a windows
machine.
the windwos OS is the only environment that i know where you cannot
read a file that has been opened for writing by a different process.
