deform in a non-periodic direction

Dear LAMMPS users,

Hi,

In case I have a system with ( P P S ) boundary condition, how can I deform it in z direction, i.e. non-periodic direction, ? As you may know, fix deform doesn’t work in this case.

of course not, because it doesn't make sense. you have to explicitly apply
forces.

please apply fix i/should/read/the/documentation first.

You can use fix move command or change_box.
