Distinguish between PFPE(lubricant) and DLC(Carbon)

Dear All,

I want to use coarse grain bead spring to build a PFPE and diamond like carbon system.

How can I distinguish those two in the MD model: lubricant: elastic(soft), DLC: plastic(hard) ?

Please search the literature for something similar. This is a science question and not really a lammps question.
