Is there anyone who knows if the fix addforce command for a dynamic group.
I want to apply an external force in a specific region. In this case, molecules in this region will move in and out, so the number and identities of molecules changes versus time. So I define a dynamic group for molecules located in this region, and apply the external force on those molecules at each time step.
I am not sure if fix addforce will work well for my system or not, if anyone knows, it will help a lot!

​please see the "region" flag to fix addforce. no dynamic group is needed
in this case. just make the fix group contain all potential targets for the
added force.
for even more complex "filtered" force assignments, you can compute the
added force with an atom style variable.
