回复: 转发:回复: doubt about fix addforce which is time-dependent

Dear Axel:
my thesis is to simulate the fracture of blade(20mm10mm5mm) of engine compressor, i want to get trajectory and energy of blade debris after the rotating blade broken. If without rotating, could i get trajectory of blade debris?
I have modified my input scripts below.the first one without rotating appeared crack, the second one with rotating did not appear crack.I impose the equal value force, but why did the second one not appear crack? If the reason is about variable?

please review a classical mechanics text book on reference frames. you
can choose them in whatever way is the most convenient and then you
need to determine which forces are internal or external.

what would be *much* more worrisome to me is the fact that you set up
a system in vacuum, when in fact it isn't. how do you intend to model
the interaction of your blade(s) with the medium that you are
compressing? where are the forces due to that? the heat generated from
friction etc.

reason is about variable?

no. i've already explained that forces are ignored with fix move.
there *should* be no crack in the second input. you *tell* lammps to
keep the structure intact.
