Dump Custom stops dumping data after some time

Hello,

I am trying to use dump custom to dump coordinates and forces into a
text file. But it seems that LAMMPS stops to dump these values after
some time even though the simulation is running.

I am not sure why this might be happening. Is this because the file
size is getting huge(>2 GB).
I have attached my input script below:

Thanks

i don't know of any limitation within lammps.

so if you don't see files growing, than it would have to
be something within your machine's setup.
could there be quota's active or a ulimit on
maximum file size?

well, that is easier for you to find out than for us.

you can quickly generate a >2gb file using:

dd if=/dev/zero bs=1024k count=2049 of=2+1mbgb-test.dat

that should print out:

2049+0 records in
2049+0 records out
2148532224 bytes (2.1 GB) copied, 2.42613 s, 886 MB/s

I have attached my input script below:

if you do have a file size limitation somehow,
you can always break the run statement into
a loop over several run statements and create
a new dump file for each loop iteration.
