Dynamo code (Baskes)

Dear all
I need to reproduce the result of MEAM simulation that have don by
DYNAMO (Baskes Code) version 8.7 (unix) ,Revision: 1.4 (2011).

I searched to find the dynamo code but I am not sure I found it.
please help me where I can find the original DYNAMO code and documentations
that describe the MEAM parameter in Dynamo.
Thanks
Hadi

The original DYNAMO was written in 1984. I’m pretty
sure it does not include MEAM, but just EAM.

The tarball is attached.

I thought you were talking about this:

http://dynamomd.org/

-s-

there are lots of codes called "dynamo" around. some can do MD. there
is this one, too, for example (which was called dynamo before it was
rewritten to have a python frontend and then called pDynamo).

Dear all
Thanks for your replies.
many peoples asked some questions about the result of MEAM potential
in DYNAMO (Baskes code) and Lammps in mailing list, and some
developers like Greg Wagner and Bohumir answered them. I have the
same problem and need to compare my Lammps simulation results by
Dynamo result and MEAM potential.
for that goal I need the dynamo code (my prefer is version 8.7 (unix)
,Revision: 1.4).
I know the Dynamomd.org and read the documentations, but I don think
this is that I need.
Thanks
Hadi

Hadi,

Dear Steve

1- I will glad if send me both of them, and the let me know where I can

find the enough documentation to understand the MEAM parameters in DYNAMO.

because I think some parameters are different from Lammps MEAM parameters.

2- in your previous email and so in one email in mailing list

you said that the dynamo is for EAM potential and it is not for MEAM. what is that mean and

is it different from these versions?

Thanks

Hadi

The version of DYNAMO I sent you is old and original.
It includes EAM, but not MEAM, which was developed later.

There probably are newer versions of DYNAMO that include
MEAM. I assume the docs for a version you get will
give you the details.
