Dear Sir or Madam!
Now,I am doing nanoindentation using MD simulation in Lammps.I use the command:fix 1 all indent 10 sphere x y z R.For this command, I don’t know the Young’s modulus for the sphere indenter.Is it 1600GPa?Thanks

the sphere in fix indent is not compressible at all.

I’ll add that the strength of the interaction between the ideal sphere
and your atoms, is in the K constant you set via the fix indent command.
Vary that and you get a squishy versus hard sphere.
