I’m using lammps 2008 version and I can’t upgrade to a new one for a lot of complicate motivations. I need fix_smd command and I can find the related html file in the doc folder but I can’t find fix_smd in the src folder. I don’t have the root privilege on my computer so I have to compile lammps by myself, then I need fix_smd.cpp and fix_smd.h files. Do you know where I can download it? I can’t find them also in the 2013 version.

fix smd *is* in the distribution. it is part of USER-MISC. however,
fix smd in the 2013 version is not likely to work with a 2008 version
without modification.
