group-restart query

Greetings,

I read that groups can be redefined after commencing from a restart file; however in the group command description it declares that if a group ID already exists the specified atoms are added to the group. Does this imply that if the group ID is already available from the restart file a re-declaration of the group ID will replace the group or add the atoms to the group ID state stored in the restart file?

the latter, of course. please note, that you can use the info command for introspection of your LAMMPS instance.
