Hi,
I have searched for this in online manual but there is no change in
this command is mentioned. you said i made a mistake, what is that?
right now, you actually are making multiple mistakes:
a) you didn't include the lammps mailing lists in your reply
b) you didn't answer _my_ question. whenever you report a
problem with LAMMPS you should _always_ report which version
exactly you are using and on what platform.
c) you didn't pay attention to what i wrote beyond that:
- i wrote that the online documentation reflects the
current status, not that it mentions every little
change that was made.
- i speculated that you must have made a mistake.
i didn't say which one, because i have _no_ information
about what you are doing and how. i have no psychic
abilities or somebody with a crystal ball sitting
beside me to ask.
d) you are ignoring the most important rule about getting help:
you have to help people to help you! if you don't provide
context, people have to guess or won't answer at all.
it is _your_ job to explain what you are doing and to provide
all possible means, so that somebody else can easily answer.
since you are a beginner with LAMMPS you have to keep in
mind that what you may think is at fault, may not be the
case. your zeroth and first order assumption should always
be that LAMMPS is working correctly, and that you are doing
something wrong. if you believe differently, you have to
_prove_ it. first to yourself, then to people on the list here.
just sending some random guess notes and questions to
the mailing list will only serve to irritate people.
thanks,
axel.
