Incorrect atom format in data file (../atom.cpp:778)

Hello everyone,
I am trying to simulate a very simple system. I set the atom_style atomic and I provided a data file containing the required quantities. however, when I run the code it says “Incorrect atom format in data file (…/atom.cpp:778)”. I made the system as simple as possible and also tested it with other data but I could not find the reason.
here are some of the first lines of my input file:

input file to generate a liquid-glass systems

echo both

atom_style atomic
read_data glass.data

and here are the quantities in the data file:

400 atoms
2 atom types

What is your LAMMPS version?

Please provide a complete data file, best one with fewer atoms.

It is LAMMPS 64-bit 20140528. I have no idea if it is acceptable for my work or not.

I tested the code even for a one-particle system and still I get the same error.

Your LAMMPS version is nearly six years old. You should try a more recent version. There have been lots of improvements to LAMMPS since your current version including better error messages and a less strict parser for data files.
