Integration Scheme for DPD

Dear sir:
I am a user of LAMMPS. Recently, I want to do some studies about the DPD system by empolying LAMMPS, but a modification on the standard velocity-Verlet scheme is necessary, as suggested by Vattulainen (J Chem Phys, 2002, 116, 3967). Then I want to replace the standard velocity-Verlet scheme by the DPD-VV integration scheme (detailed descriptions are given in Vattulainen’s work), and it can be easily achieved by added a extra update of force after the standard velocity-Verlet method, but I don’t know where i can find the update of velocity or force in the source codes. So I need your help. Is there any suggestions?

This sounds like you want a modified version of fix nve. To
do that you would create a derived class, or write your own
fix nve/dpd that encodes the time integration algorithm you want.
