Is it possible to create a body particle with 250 sub-spheres?

Dear LAMMPS users,

I am trying to make an “X” particle (the shape of the particle is just as an “X”, or two crossing rods), and totally it has 250 particles (125 for each of the rod). Once I generate the .data file, and run LAMMPS, the terminal showed “boost MAXBODY”, so is there any way that I can make a body particle with 250 or more sub-spheres? Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Is there a reason to use body particles, instead of just

fix rigid or fix rigid/small ?
