Is there a way to maintain constant force in wear simulation?

Dear all,
I have a spherical indenter that is indented on a substrate. The normal load is in z direction.
I now want to move the tip in x direction while maintaining the force applied.
It’s basically simulating AFM wear test, but right now I don’t want to use fix spring and just apply and maintain a constant force.

I tried aveforce, setforce, and addforce, but seems like they all press with given constant force during the specified run step, not maintain the force given.

I tried to search for similar simulation such as creep and wear, but hard to find answers.

What can I do to maintain the force?
