[lammps-users] atom style ellipsoid for granular matter

Dear all,

Is there any way to simulate ellipsoid granular particles. I get the following error iif I use atom-style ellipsoid along with pair style granular:

*Pair granular requires atom attributes radius, rmass*
The atom style defined does not have these attributes.
One possible way may be to use rigid bodies. Does anybody know any other way to doing it.
Any comment , suggestion will be appreciated.
Best regards,
Chandana

none of the granular pair styles supports aspherical particles. hence the error message.

you would need to write a new pair style that can handle aspherical particles.

axel.

Dear Axel,
Thanks for your reply.
