Thanking you very much for you details reply. I will try to update my VMD as you said. But i want to clear the my others doubts. I got the topotool-1.1 from your homepage. So my problem is that how can I integrate it with installed VMD. In case if there is no directory named as topotools1.0 in install VMD; in that case can i made it? I also want to know how it will works; I mean i need some tutorial on topotools.

please pay attention to what i wrote.
topotools _requires_ vmd-18.7. it cannot work without.
vmd-1.8.7 does have that directory. if you don't have
that directory, you don't have vmd-1.8.7. simple as that.
topotools is software in development. what little documentation
currently exists is
- as for all plugins integrated into VMD - at
http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/plugins/
if you cannot figure out from that (minimal) description and reading
the sources how
it works, you should not use it. that is what beta testers are for. if
i had had the time to
write a proper tutorial for it, i would not be programming it. there
is still a long list of
items that i want to implement, and some features that have not been
fully debugged.
