[lammps-users] feature request --- general shell command

Dear LAMMPS users and Steve,

I have a question about the shell command support. In my script, I
used some variables,
and I need to make some directories and move some files related to
these variables in the
course of simulation. It can be fulfilled by making all the
directories before the simulation and use "cd"(supported by the
current version of LAMMPS) and some jumps. However, if some other more
general shell commands, such as, mkdir, cp, mv, can be invoked, it is
very convenient.

Thanks for consideration.

I'll add some simple shell commands to the to-do list. So long
as all parallel OS's support them (even lightweight kernels), it
could be a good addition.

Steve

Thanks to Steve!
