[lammps-users] fix nve vs. fix nve/sphere for granular

Dear all,

For granular particles, typically one uses the fix nve/sphere,
correct? I was wondering if using fix nve actually prevents rotation
of the particles, or if the rotation is simply not calculated? If
using the command "fix nve" does not actually fix the particle
rotation, is there another way to to this for granular particles?

Priscilla Fonseca

Fix nve does not do anything with torque or angular velocity.
So if the particles have those attributes it will ignore them.
