[lammps-users] future availability of gpu potentials

LAMMPS user/developers,

Can anyone comment if more gpu potentials will be available in the next release? I'm only looking for Morse, so I might
port it (if nobody is working on this).

tim,

progress on the gpu programming effort is documented here:

http://code.google.com/p/gpulammps/

which combines multiple efforts to add GPU acceleration to LAMMPS.
if you are brave you can also download, compile and test the code.

morse doesn't seem to be on the list, but i can mention it at the
conference call that we're going to have later today...

Tim,

Christian Muller from the GPU-LAMMPS team has volunteered to work on a Morse potential as per your request. Since the Morse potential is so simple, he thinks we might have something ready for you to test within the next day or so.

I'll CC Christian so that you can communicate directly with him on this.
