[lammps-users] how to check if temperature is normally distributed

Hello,

I’m new to Lammps.
I want to know what is the best way to check that the temperature set, indeed corresponds to a normally distributed temperature.

In other words, how can I be sure that I don’t have two (or more) populations, of which the average temperature corresponds to one I’ve set.

Should I divide my simumation box in several ones, and then calculate for each “sub box” its temperature…

TIA
Kind regards
Theo

I don't know. You can dump the velocities of all atoms, so
if you know how to check this, you don't need LAMMPS to
compute it for you.
