[lammps-users] Installation question

Hi,
I am trying to install the svn version of lammps that I checked out a
couple of hours ago on a AMD-64 cluster running linux. I ran make
yes-package to install the class2, colloid,
dipole,manybody,kspace,molecule and opt packages and created a file
src/MAKE/Makefile.rc with the following relevant lines excerpted:

CC = mpicc
CCFLAGS = -O2 -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti -ansi-alias -pc64 -no-prec-div
-no-prec-sqrt -unroll
DEPFLAGS = -M
LINK = mpicc
LINKFLAGS = -O -L/opt/intel/mkl/10.0.3.020/lib/em64t
#LIB = -lstdc++ -lpthread -lmkl_em64t -lguide
LIB = -lmkl_intel_lp64 -lmkl_sequential -lmkl_core -lstdc++
ARCHIVE = ar
ARFLAGS = -rc
SIZE = size

When I run 'make rc' the executable file lmp_rc is created; however first I get:

Entering directory `/home/rc/lammps/src/Obj_rc'

Makefile:107: angle_charmm.d: No such file or directory
Makefile:107: angle_class2.d: No such file or directory
etc.

Later on the missing files seem to be created:

mpicc -O2 -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti -ansi-alias -pc64 -no-prec-div
-no-prec-sqrt -unroll -DLAMMPS_GZIP -DFFT_FFTW -M angle_charmm.cpp

angle_charmm.d

Is this normal behavior?
Thanks for your assistance.

yes, this is normal and expected.
it will help you to speed up recompilation
when you update the checked out repository.
