[lammps-users] Minimization at zero degree kelviin

I am a new bee for LAMMPS. I have put a edge dislocation in a Aluminium box and tried to minimize. It splits into two partials with distance between them around 50 Angstrom. But at zero degree kelvin, it should be around 16 Angstrom.
I observed that temperatue rises to very high value
When I am minimizing why it should it rise?
Your help is highly appreciated.

Can I get example files of defining dislocations and minimizing from anybody's work?

Thanks and regards,

If you're saying the temperature changed during a minimization,
I don't see how that's possible. The minimizer doesn't do anything
with particle velocities. Can you post a simple example input file(s)
that does this?
