I wonder if LAMMPS can simulate coarse-grained mobile walls (moving along z-axis only) with NPT.
Either coarse-grained MD or DPD will be fine.
Could anyone please give me any idea?

You can apply NPT in any periodic dimension.
You can apply a wall in any non-periodic dimension.
But the 2 are not meant to be used together
in the same dimension, which doesn't really make
sense to my mind.
You can also use fix aveforce to use a "wall" made
out of atoms a push on it. Again that cannot be
done with NPT in a particular dimension since
your system would be non-perioidic in that dim.
