[lammps-users] Regarding region keyword in fix heat command

Hello,

Just wanted to clarify this:

If the region keyword is used with fix heat, does it mean that:

  • at every timestep, atoms that are both in the region and part of the group are identified,
    and “heat” is applied to them

OR

  • the atoms that are part of both the region and keyword are indentified,
    only the first time the fix is applied?

I think it is the first option, but just want to be sure.
