Research scientist and postdoctoral positions are available starting immediately in Materials Simulation Laboratory at Physics Department, University of South Florida (http://msl.cas.usf.edu). We are seeking exceptional candidates with a strong record of creative research who can make significant contributions in one or more of the following areas:
· Simulations of materials at extreme conditions
· Modeling materials for information technology including molecular and spin electronics
· Computational nanomechanics
· Development of simulation tools for large-scale simulations of materials
Applicants should have a PhD degree in theoretical/computational condensed matter physics, chemistry, materials science and other closely related fields. Experience with atomistic simulation techniques including classical molecular dynamics is required. The successful candidates should also have extensive programming skills in C/C++, Fortran and Linux environment.
The positions are available immediately. Salary is commensurate with experience.
