[lammps-users] stream velocity

Dear Lammps,
I would like to ask u if it's possible to calculate the stream velocity in layer
groups.
I mean that i want to divide the y dimension in 100 parts and for these partsi
want to
calculate the stream velocity. Thanks very much in advance. Dwra

Please look at fix ave/spatial for what you want.

Dear all,
Fix ave/spatial do not allow u to calculate the stream velocity but only the vx,vy,vz velocity per layer which consists (as i understood-i'm not sure) the thermal velocity and the stream velocity (velocity caused by the external force. So is there another way to compute the thermal or the stream velocity by anonther way???Thanks very much in advance. Dorothy
