[lammps-users] Suspected beg in example script in.pour.2d

Dear Axel and steve,
While running the in.pour.2d(example) code to pour polydisperse particles under gravity , I monitor the pairwise granular forces and it seems there are many interaction entries with identically zero forces. If there is no force between two particles , then why it is being considered as an interaction.

How do you know beforehand that there will be no (significant) interaction?
