[lammps-users] Tail corrections no and yes for different pair styles

Hi, all,

Has anyone once used different pair styles in one simulation for different atom types? In my system some pair styles require the tail correction to be on, and others do not need it. I’m not sure how to deal with it? Can ‘pair_modify’ be used multiple times? Is it OK to use it after each pair_style defined? Or do I have to modify the code to enable or disable tail correction individually for each pair style?

Thank you

Pair modify applies to all pair styles when using pair hybrid.
What's a scenario or model where you want the tail correction
to be one for one potential but off for others? Note
that most potentials don't have tail corrections so the
setting is irrelevant. Also it only applies to LJ tails, so
why would you want some of them off and some of them on?
Or why would you be using two potentials that both have
LJ terms?
