limiting movement

Hi dear users

I want to limit the movement of some of my particles in one dimension so that my particles move only in x and y dimensions

I use fix setforce command with values Null Null 0.0

But it seems that this command limits the movement in other two dimensions as the particle moves only because of external forces

so what is your idea?

How can I achieve to this goal without limiting movement in other tow dimensions?

the correct spelling is: NULL NULL 0.0

You can also look at the fix lineforce and fix planeforce
commands.
