This is an FYI:
please note, that the installation of a customized LAMMPS binary on
various platforms, should be significantly easier for beginners now
when using the (recently added) CMake build support in LAMMPS. just
first start a minimal configuration with no packages enabled, to see
if the basic compilation support is working, and then add packages as
needed. through the ccmake or cmake-gui programs, even interactively.
