BTW only mmaps is parallelized.
I would suggest using the new serial enumeration algo instead of the mpi version, as explained elsewhere in this forum: https://www.brown.edu/Departments/Engineering/Labs/avdw/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=304#p1188
