Applications are open for a PhD Studentship using atomistic and coarse-grained MD simulations to study the lubrication mechanisms of wet hair. The project will be co-supervised by Prof. Daniele Dini (Mech Eng) and Dr Stefano Angioletti-Uberti (Materials).
The post is supported by a full bursary and fees (at the UK/EU student rate) through an industry Cooperative Award in Science and Technology (iCASE) studentship, co-funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Proctor and Gamble. The position is open to UK and EU (ordinarily resident in the UK throughout the three years period preceding the start of the studentship) students who fulfil the eligibility criteria for the award.
