Polarizability models in LAMMPS

Dear LAMMPS users,

For my study on lanthanide ions in water, I need to incorporate polarizable potentials. I went through the forum archives, in one of the archives it was mentioned that polarizability cannot be implemented in LAMMPS. Is it so? If it so, then in order to use polarizable properties is there any other means that can be connected to LAMMPS simulation. Or is there any other solution to my problem using LAMMPS alone?

Kindly give your valuable suggestions for my problem.

Thanking you.

In order to use a polarizable water potential in lammps you will have to write a pair style for it. Not impossible, but some effort.
