The ovito web page indicates that you get better results if you restrict the polyhedral template matching algorithm to an expected subset of possible templates. Is there any way to do that for the python pipeline modifier ? I don’t see any input property listed in ovito.modifiers — OVITO Python Reference 3.16.1 documentation
You can find this being documented in the StructureIdentificationModifier base class of the PolyhedralTemplateMatchingModifier. For example, to disable the BCC structure:
mod = PolyhedralTemplateMatchingModifier()
mod.structures[PolyhedralTemplateMatchingModifier.Type.BCC].enabled = False
