Postdoc in „Modeling of hybrid organo-metallic reactive materials for sensing and catalysis at Aalto University, in Helsinki, Finland

Title: “Modeling of hybrid organo-metallic reactive materials for sensing and catalysis”

We offer a two-year postdoc position at the COMP Center for Excellence in Computational Nanosciences and the Applied Physics Department of the Aalto University (former Helsinki University of Technology). The starting date is negotiable.

The goal of the project is the modeling of the reactive properties of stabilized metal clusters that have applications in nanosensing and photocatalysis. The postdoctoral researcher will use already established computational tools (genetic algorithms, QM/MM, TDDFT) in conjunction with state-of-the-art computational tools currently under development in the center. The derived models will be validated in strong collaboration with experimentalists.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD degree in Material Science, Computational Physics or Chemistry. They should have excellent communication skills and be interested in collaborative work within a team of diverse backgrounds.

To apply for this position, please send your CV via e-mail to: olga.lopez.acevedo@…3660…. In the application e-mail, include the link to one publication you would like to highlight. Candidates will be considered until the position is filled.
