problem in editing makefile for xmovie in lammps

hi,

while editing the makefile, I m not aware of various flags and the make command is not compiling it through.

CC = gcc
LN = gcc
OPTIM = -O2 -finline-functions -g
XLIBDIR = -L/usr/share/doc/
XINCLUDE = /usr/share/doc/libx11-6
/usr/share/doc/libx11-6/changelog.Debian.gz
/usr/share/doc/libx11-6/copyright
/usr/share/doc/libx11-6/NEWS.Debian.gz
/usr/share/doc/libx11-6/NEWS.gz
DEFINES = -DMISSINGDEFS -D_POSIX_SOURCE -DUSEPRIVATE -DINCL_FLOAT
WARNS = -Wimplicit -Wunused -Wmissing-prototypes
CCOPTS = -c (OPTIM) (DEFINES) (WARNS) (XINCLUDE)
LNOPTS = $(OPTIM)

This is how I tried to edit it…but its not working…what is being missed??

thanks

what you are doing is completely bogus and makes no sense at all.

besides, xmovie is obsolete, not 64-bit safe and has been unmaintained
for a very long time.
there are plenty of other, better options for visualization of LAMMPS
results available, including the integrated visualizer in dump image
or dump movie.
