Problem with move command

Dear Lammps users,

I am using lammps to investigate a crack under mode 1 deformation (pls. see the attached picture for a better overview). As I understood, move command is working well with non-periodic BC. But, when I use move command with a high velocity, e.g. 0.1 Å/psec, the fixed layers from the two sides, on which move command is applied, will be disconnected from the rest of the material. And when I use a smaller velocity, e.g. 0.001 Å/psec, the deformation becomes extremely slow and even after like 100000 steps I don’t see a considerable deformation. Does anyone has an experience using move command in this regard?

I appreciate any suggestion and comment.

Thank you

You seem to be saying that if you move at a medium
speed, things are fine. If you move at a high speed,
the material disconnects, and if you move at a slow
speed, things don’t move very fast.

This seems like normal behavior to me.
