redo delete_atoms command

Dear all

I have a short question:
is it possible to redo or restore atoms removed by delete_atoms?
I’ve not found any useful command. Is there any alternative way?

no - once you delete them, they are gone. LAMMPS retains
no info about deleted atoms. If you programmed an MD
algorithm in Emacs, you might be able to do it. It has
a pretty good undo function …

More seriously, you can save the state of the system
to a file (e.g. write_data, dump_one group) before you delete then
and then read them back in (read_dump) but that isn’t
retaining info within LAMMPS.
