Reg: installion

I'm not sure, but try downloading these packages using yast and try again
fttw-devel
fftw3-devel

I found these packages by searching google with:

https://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&q=yast+fftw+development&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

Alas, I don't use redhat or suse, so I can't give much more help than
this. As Axel hinted, there should be standard package (rpm format)
you can download using opensuse's package management (yast) for fftw
and for fftw3. I think the packages you need are fftw-devel and/or
fftw3-devel. (Note: You want the "development" version, not the
regular version. Development libraries usually end in "dev" or
"devel")

Somebody else on the mailing list must have compiled lammps on
opensuse. But people may ignore a generic-sounding post like
"installion"
Try reposting this message with a more detailed subject. Something like:

"requesting build instructions for opensuse 13.1"

(You need to ask for which packages you need, and suggestions for
which makefile to use.)

Or, getting local help as Axel suggested is a good idea.

Cheers
Andrew

what i was referring to was this:

http://rpm.lammps.org/

and this:

http://rpm.lammps.org/install.html

which provides *proper* rpms for opensuse that contain practically all
packages and multiple options (including python wrappers). there may
be other lammps rpms available through opensuse, but i doubt that any
of them will be as cleanly and thoroughly done as those.
