Regarding cvff and CHARMM force fields

Dear all,
I am trying to model one collagen protein (bio-molecule) in LAMMPS. i have used msi2lmp tool using car and mdf file along with cvff.frc file to get the data file for LAMMPS. But in literature, CHARMM force field has been used to simulate along with reactive force field. I have the following doubts

  1. What is difference between CVFF and CHARMM forcefields as formulation seems similar…
  2. how can i use CHARMM in place of CVFF.frc in for msi2lmp tool to get data file for LAMMPS having CHARMM ?
  3. How can i use Reactive force field with CHARMM in LAMMPS?

But in literature, CHARMM force field
has been used to simulate along with reactive force field.

What reactive force field? I presume the paper gives more details.

You can look at the ch2lmp tool in the tools dir. It converts
PDB files to LAMMPS input and assigns CHARMM force
field params.

Re: CHARMM vs CVFF - you need to read the respective
papers and find a review paper on force fields for bio systems.
That's not a LAMMPS question.
