Regarding temp/profile implementation

Hi LAMMPS users,

I have a basic query about how temp/profile works, which I find a little ambiguous from the documentation. To simply put it, I want to subtract y-component of the streaming velocity. So, do I use either yflag = 0 or 1 ? Documentation says yflag = 0 means y dimension is excluded, Is it excluded from the temp/profile operation or is the y-component subtracted from velocity profile ?

I know this sounds trivial, but I was not able to find a definite answer from searching through the archives and web. Any help would be appreciated.

Use yflag = 1. 1 means that the y dim is included in the operation
performed by compute temp/profile. I.e. the average y velocity
is substracted from each atom’s y velocity before computing a temp.

I agree the doc page is ambiguous - we’ll clarify it there.
