retrieve an intrinsic variable

Dear LAMMPS developers and users,

Is it possible to retrieve an intrinsic variable from the input script?

I am modifying the temper command.

Array world2temp[i] stores the current “state number”, and I would like to assign the restart file according to the real “state” instead of the replica number.

In the current manual,

temper N M temp fix-ID seed1 seed2 index

Manual says that in case of a restart, we need to assign the temperature index, which is given in the output file.

Yet I need the restart file name to be consistent with the state…instead of the replica number…

So, it would be much easier to read out the world2temp array directly from the input file and assign the restart file name to be the state number. (Otherwise I need to go into the source code)

Hopefully I have made my question clear. Thank you so much for the help and comment.

Sincerely,

LC Liu

ah. your talking about an *internal* variable of the c++ code.

the answer to that is: no.
